Workshop: Intro to Rhino Modeling

Date: September 6, 2009 (10am-2:30pm, 30min lunch break from 12-12:30pm))
Location: California College of the Arts, SF Campus, Lab A
Eligibility: Open to all students new to CCA, for new MArch’s, transfer BArch’s, and exchange students. If seats are still available after Thursday (9/3/2009), workshop is open to all CCA students

Prerequisite: None
Description: This workshop will introduce the fundamental concepts and tools of the Rhino modeling environment. Students will learn how to import 2D drawings, model basic 3D shapes using NURBS geometry, and extract 2D information such as sections, diagrams, and fabrication data. 

Note: If you plan to use your own computer, have Rhino installed and running before you arrive. Ask a TA, colleague, or Tech support person for help if needed.
If you plan to use the lab’s version, open up and spend a bit of time with the program before arriving.
