DCL TALKS: Riccardo La Magna and Florian Born

Two Autodesk Artists-in-Residence will be joining us on Friday, November 13 from 2-3pm to discuss their work with students. Riccardo La Magna is a PhD candidate at the ITKE in Stuttgart where he has been involved in a number of the ICD/ITKE research pavilions. His research focuses on the construction and engineering of large scale experimental structures, as well as on the investigation of material properties to achieve controlled deformation patterns. He is a structural engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bologna, Italy.

Florian Born is an interaction designer focusing on connecting virtual and physical worlds. He works with new technologies, creative code and crafted objects. In 2013, he graduated from the digital media program of the University of the Arts Bremen with a Bachelor of Arts. He currently lives in Berlin, where he studies new media in a master's program at the University of the Arts Berlin.
